Each week, I share the weekly posts from the KidLit Love podcast and each month, I share a full round-up of those episodes so you can catch up on any episodes you may have missed.
I also celebrate the book birthdays that have come across my bookshelf and share any additional books and reviews I think you might want to know about, too.
So, here is a whole bunch of kidlit love from the month of May. You’ll find a quick summary and links to my Amazon and Bookshop affiliate links below.

More Books to Love🎈🎁📖🎂📚🎉
Here are a few books that I read and reviewed and are worth sharing here:
🎉Vanishings by Catharina Steel
Vanishings by Catharina Steel is a middle grade novel perfect for the magic-loving reader in your life. It’s full of family, friendship and adventure…along with shrinking potions, fairies and magical powers. Set in the Wythic Woods, Tilly spends the summer with her family’s magical teacher and wizard in hopes of discovering what went wrong with her missing friend. What comes next is a series of adventures, dreams and magical events that remind us of the power to connect together, help those you can and believe in ourselves.
🎉NEXT TO ME by Daniel Salmieri
Oh, my goodness, this book. NEXT TO ME by Daniel Salmieri and Sophia Haas is a beautiful ode to all the wonderfulness around us: the people, the pets, the scenery, the community and all the things that wrap us up in wonder and in love. The cut-paper collages leap off the page and invite readers to consider the beauty of their own surroundings, too. For young readers, this is a delightful story about the many delights that surround us, big and small. For adult readers, this is a powerful lesson in staying present, staying connected and staying grounded in what matters most.
🎉I WANT TO DANCE IN PANTS by Jess & Ruyman Hernandez
This is a darling picture book celebrating who we are on the inside no matter what we wear on the outside. It’s about being comfortable in our skin and portraying that comfort to the world….which means everyone else is free to do the same. I love this book.
